Description

Pick n Pay is looking for a Service Area Assistant for the Deli department in Soweto. The role involves ensuring product quality, rotating stock, preventing shrinkage, maintaining equipment, and supporting daily deli operations while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

•  Ensure that security procedures are followed at all times.
•  Conduct regular quality checks and ensure proper stock rotation.
•  Remove damaged or expired stock from the shelves.
•  Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages to goods.
•  Complete all necessary administration and documentation accurately.
•  Monitor budget performance (expenses, turnover, gross profit) and take corrective action when needed.
•  Plan daily and weekly production of deli products.
•  Communicate effectively with both employees and management.
•  Ensure that all equipment is maintained and used according to safety and operational standards.

Requirements

•  Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
