Internship Details Company Details Description The Instrumentation Technician Intern will be responsible for maintaining, installing, calibrating, and servicing instrumentation equipment and related systems. This role involves hands-on technical work, including interpreting engineering designs, troubleshooting, and ensuring the functionality of machines and field devices.
Subscribe to Job Alerts Responsibilities Inspect, calibrate, service, and maintain instruments up to and including component level. Install and maintain instrument field devices to ensure optimal functionality. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on field devices and systems. Interpret engineering design drawings, identify errors, and compile Bills of Material for procurement. Conduct testing, module checks, and loop verifications. Assist electronic and electrical departments as required. Perform basic PLC programming (Siemens). Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in instrumentation systems. Maintain and follow safe work procedures, including monthly SHE inspections. Ensure all machinery is kept in good running condition.
Requirements National Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of field devices such as sensors, level sensing, pressure, and temperature instruments. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Basic PLC programming skills (Siemens). Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Ability to work under pressure, take responsibility, and perform in a team environment. Willingness to perform standby duties and work overtime as required.
