Description

In this role, you will assist in maintaining personnel records, facilitating recruitment processes, supporting onboarding and offboarding, and managing governance and compliance. You will have the opportunity to work closely with HR Business Partners, contribute to transformation initiatives, and support talent and performance management.

Responsibilities

  •  Maintain and update personnel records (manual and electronic) in line with SBV’s HR policies, POPIA, and PAIA legislation.
  •  Administer internal and external HR documentation such as job profiles, engagement/termination forms, Provident Fund forms, and leave documentation.
  •  Identify and manage HR-related risks.
  •  Provide HR-related updates and information to the HRBP and attend management meetings.
  •  Manage recruitment processes for Grade 1-11 positions, including job analysis, advertising, shortlisting, interviews, and checks (MIE, criminal, psychometric).
  •  Draft and issue offer letters and manage onboarding processes.
  •  Facilitate induction and onboarding for new hires.
  •  Manage resignation, retirement, dismissal, retrenchment, and severance processes.
  •  Conduct exit interviews.
  •  Compile HR reports, such as vacancy trackers, performance appraisals, leave management, and payroll discrepancies.
  •  Conduct audits to maintain data integrity on the SAGE system.
  •  Provide HR support for internal and external audits.
  •  Advise on grievances, disciplinary issues, and CCMA outcomes.
  •  Liaise with the ER team for complex cases or potential industrial conflicts.
  •  Support talent management and performance appraisal processes.
  •  Train staff on performance management principles and methodologies.


Requirements

  •  Currently studying towards a Human Resources Degree or Diploma.
