Description

The Handyman will be responsible for addressing maintenance issues across the hotel, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in areas such as security, pools, grounds, and guest rooms. Duties include general DIY tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, decorating, and maintaining other hotel facilities. This role is vital for maintaining a high standard of service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

•  Resolve maintenance issues logged during a shift or via verbal instructions.
•  Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and decorating tasks.
•  Maintain and secure hotel grounds, pools, and rooms.
•  Proactively identify and address potential maintenance concerns.
•  Handle multiple tasks/jobs simultaneously with efficiency.

Requirements

•  Matric (Grade 12).
•  1–2 years of previous handyman/maintenance experience.
•  Additional qualifications in maintenance (advantageous; salary dependent).
