Signature Cosmetics is looking for a dedicated and customer-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will create a welcoming and personalized experience for all customers, drive sales, maintain visual merchandising standards, and ensure smooth store operations.
Responsibilities
Provide a welcoming, inspirational, and personalized experience for all customers.
Motivate and inspire team members to achieve sales targets and drive turnover.
Maintain visual merchandising standards to create a beautiful store experience.
Keep the sales floor clean, neat, tidy, and fully replenished.
Manage stock levels, stock losses, and shrinkage effectively.
Ensure all products are correctly priced with relevant price stickers and/or signage.
Check stock take and cycle count variance reports, investigate variances, and escalate stock shortages or unbalanced stock information to the Area Manager.
Adhere to point of sale and banking procedures, raising any concerns with the Area Manager.
Comply with all store standards, operations policies, and procedures.
Execute all operational activities within the store effectively.
Requirements
Matric, grade 12, or equivalent certificate.
Passion for cosmetics, retail, and customer service.
Knowledge of beauty and skincare products.
Strong customer service orientation.
Strong work ethic and hands-on attitude.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
Basic proficiency with email and Excel.
Good communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and pleasant in pressurized situations.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to demonstrate and promote products.
Ability to create a buzz in the store to motivate the team and encourage customer loyalty.
