Responsibilities

•  Plan, coordinate, and supervise project preparation and advise customers and contractors for the installation of Varian linear accelerators and software products.
•  Review purchase order transmittals noting any unusual service requirements and follow up with the appropriate function.
•  Meet with customers and their contractors, perform site visits, and help the customer prepare their facility for installation.
•  Advise customers on complex facility requirements such as safety, room layout, and electrical, plumbing, and HVAC requirements.
•  Support customers in the implementation of pre-defined software product concepts, including IT security, power and network requirements, network layout, and server requirements.
•  Monitor customer facility preparation, identify risks, and coordinate equipment shipment schedules.
•  Provide reports on installation activities and control installation forecasts.
•  Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple medium-scale projects.
•  Perform routine project management and site planning to ensure customer compliance with building and technical requirements.
•  Review bids from contractors and monitor contracts for quality and workmanship.
•  Interact extensively with Sales, Order Processing, Installations resource managers, and customer teams.

Requirements

•  Bachelor's or master's degree in a related discipline (e.g., Mechanical or Civil Engineering).
•  General knowledge of construction and electrical codes, and government radiation regulations.
•  General knowledge of network design, software control systems, and server management.
•  Proactive attitude with excellent organizational skills and team orientation.
•  Strong customer service acumen.
•  Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
•  Familiarity with business tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and MS Project.
•  Willingness to travel for business as required (20-40%).
•  Contributes to team efficiency through quality personal work and influencing teammate output.
•  Ability to work under supervision or in collaboration with team members within guidelines and policies.
•  Agile, proactive, analytical, results-oriented, and able to make decisions within the role's scope.
•  Ability to problem solve and suggest realistic innovations to processes for better customer experience.
•  Must be a South African Citizen.
