Description

Responsible for the efficient and accurate end to end processing of cash in compliance with policies and procedures (SOPs). A Cash Processor may perform any one and/or a combination of the functions below.

Responsibilities

•  Receive and process cash deposits according to company policies.
•  Sort and verify banknotes for accuracy, counterfeits, and discrepancies.
•  Perform reconciliations and report shortages or surpluses.
•  Process bulk coin deposits and manage teller coin transfers.
•  Maintain accurate records of cash movements and transactions.
•  Operate cash processing machines and troubleshoot minor issues.
•  Follow security protocols and governance standards (ISO 9001:2015).
•  Ensure smooth payroll and change transactions for clients.
•  Support change management and drive organizational culture.

Requirements

•  Grade 12 with Maths Literacy.
•  6 months of cashier/teller experience (advantageous)
•  Must have successfully completed SBV Cash Processor Training.

•  Cash handling & processing – Ability to handle, sort, and verify cash accurately.
•  Numeracy skills – Strong mathematical ability to reconcile balances.
•  Attention to detail – Ability to detect discrepancies, counterfeit notes, and errors.
•  Computer literacy – Familiarity with cash processing systems and data entry.
•  Machine operation – Ability to use cash counting and sorting machines.
•  Reconciliation skills – Ensuring cash balances match records.
