The Production Assistant's primary purpose is to support the efficient production of Mernok’s PDS and other electronic devices. This entails assisting in assembly, testing, and packaging processes to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. Tasks include soldering components, operating machinery, and adhering to production schedules to meet deadlines
Responsibilities
Assist in the assembly, testing, and packaging of electronic equipment and/or devices according to established procedures.
Assists in the building of test units and prototypes.
Assists with the wiring of production units.
Perform tasks such as soldering components, operating hand tools, and following production instructions to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and address any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
Perform housekeeping tasks as necessary.
Provide general assistance to the production manager, engineers, and technicians.
Conduct inspections and tests on electronic equipment and/or devices to identify defects or deviations from quality standards, making necessary adjustments as required.
Document inspection results and communicate findings to supervisors or quality control personnel.
Follow quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Perform routine maintenance tasks and clean manufacturing tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Clean and lubricate tools, conduct minor repairs, and report any equipment malfunctions to the production manager.
Adhere to safety guidelines and equipment operating procedures to prevent accidents and damage to tools.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety guidelines when handling electronic components and tools.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors and participate in safety training programs as required.
Participate in activities as described in Personal Development Plan, as agreed with the Production Manager.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and skills development processes (best practice, lessons learnt, etc.).
Take responsibility for your own safety in the workplace.
Ensure that your immediate work area is safe and that you report all incidents and near misses.
Comply to all health, safety and environmental rules and requirements as set by the Company.
Acquaint yourself with the sustainability targets and goals as set by the Company from time to time.
Support the Company in achieving the targets and goals.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent with Mathematics and either science or a related technical subject.
Ability to read, and interpret technical procedures and effectively communicate in English.
Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
Ability to handle and manipulate small components.
Hand Tools Knowledge.
Good Housekeeping skills.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time.
