Job Details Company Details Description The Cash Processor will be responsible for receiving, prepping, sorting, and reconciling cash deposits, ensuring all transactions are accurate and comply with the company's policies and procedures. This role also involves managing equipment and assisting with packing and unpacking of bank and ATM cash.
Subscribe to Job Alerts Responsibilities Receive deposits and update the applicable systems. Comply with all policies and procedures to minimize risks to the company and customers. Check containers/bags for damage or tampering; report anomalies. Process deposits according to bank SLAs and SOPs. Ensure accurate prepping for effective note counting. Sort all deposits/notes on the same day, adhering to cut-off times. Handle rejected notes with proper documentation and balance verification. Reconcile rejected notes to validate authenticity. Manually check for counterfeits, dye-stained, and mutilated notes. Perform end-of-day balancing and reconciliation of cash received. Handle shortages and surpluses according to SOPs. Separate and process deposits per customer. Ensure all transactions are accurately processed and balanced. Process bulk coin deposits and teller coin transfers per company policies. Validate transactions linked to system integrations. Manage discrepancies to avoid delays in customer crediting. Process payroll and change transactions per SLA requirements. Report discrepancies and maintain equipment. Assist with packing and unpacking of bank and ATM cash. Manage consumables and accurately record bag and seal numbers. Use and maintain equipment according to SOPs, protecting company assets.
Requirements Matric with Maths Literacy. 6 to 12 months of previous cashier or teller experience is advantageous. Successful completion of SBV Cash Processor training.
