Thorburn Security Solutions is looking for a CCTV Control Room Operator in Paarl, Western Cape, to join their team on a permanent basis. The role involves monitoring security systems, ensuring the safety and security of the estate, and managing various security-related tasks. Ideal candidates should have relevant qualifications and experience in the security industry.

Responsibilities

•  Rotation of Security Personnel: Ensure consistency in access control and security measures across different posts, including covering for absent officers and maintaining the unpredictability of personnel movements.
•  Thermal Camera Monitoring: Monitor perimeter thermal cameras during offsite control room downtime, dispatching tactical teams or managers to investigate alarms.
•  CCTV Monitoring: Oversee the main gate cameras, ensuring officers are posted at entry and exit lanes, conducting patrols, and staying alert.
•  Pulse Vehicle Tracking: Track security vehicles, ensure they stay within the estate, and dispatch the nearest vehicle during emergencies.
•  CIIMS/Online System Management: Log incidents, shift changes, patrols, and other occurrences in the CIIMS system, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.

Requirements

•  Matric.
•  PSIRA Grade B certification.
•  Completion of a CCTV course.
