Description

The role of a Warehouse Operative is to carry out picking, packing, checking, receiving, and dispatching of equipment.

Responsibilities

•  Operate MHE as required and alternate to physical job when instructed by the Supervisor.
•  Operate in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
•  Ensure good Warehouse Practice compliance.
•  Work in a safe manner and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
•  Process documentation accurately.
•  Work within a physically demanding environment.
•  Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
•  Report non-conformities to Supervisors.
•  Implement, maintain, and continuously improve operational processes.
•  Work within any assigned operating areas as determined by management.
•  Support and actively participate in change initiatives.
•  Maintain integrity and ethical values in operations.
•  Contribute to a productive working environment.
•  Ensure safety, quality, and integrity of stored products.
•  Participate in stock counts and ensure accuracy.
•  Complete tasks timely to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
•  Adhere to the Unit’s SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) rules and best practices.
•  Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

•  Must be found fully competent during KC Mill assessment (theoretical and practical).
•  Team player.
•  Ability to work well under pressure.
•  Ability to adapt easily to changing circumstances.
•  Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
•  Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions.
•  Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations.
•  Have appropriate hand, eye and foot co-ordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment.
•  SAP / WMOS exposure.
•  Ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting, in line with Health & Safety Regulations.
•  Logistics or warehousing experience.
•  2 Years warehouse experience.
