Description

A picker must participate in our warehouse operations and activities. A picker’s responsibility includes picking, packing, and ensuring best quality has been picked for the stores. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Floor Manager, Floor Supervisor, and the Checker and will be required to work a straight shift across trading and non-trading hours, including Sundays and Public Holiday.

Responsibilities

•  Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pick according to schedule (pick; pack; wrap; label).
•  Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
•  Report any discrepancies.
•  Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
•  Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
•  Follow quality service standards and comply with procedure, rules, and regulations.
•  Handle heavy lifting, moving products as needed.
•  Maintain solid knowledge of fruit and vegetable products to assist with accurate picking and packing.
•  Work efficiently, especially during peak periods.

Requirements

•  Matric.
•  English.
•  Within 15km from job.
•  Clear criminal record.
