Responsibilities

•  Assist customers with their inquiries and purchases.
•  Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
•  Promote and sell products to customers.
•  Achieve sales targets set by the management.
•  Assist with receiving, unpacking, and arranging stock.
•  Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked and presentable.
•  Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
•  Manage cash, card, and other payment methods.
•  Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store.
•  Assist in setting up displays and promotional setups.
•  Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth store operations.
•  Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

•  Must be between 18 to 28 years old.
•  Matric (Grade 12) is preferable.
•  Must be available and willing to work on a fixed-term 12-month contract.
•  Should not have been employed permanently with a single employer continuously for more than 1 year.
•  Should not be studying full-time in the year of employment (April 2024 – March 2025).
•  Should not have participated or been registered on the YES programme before.
•  Accommodation and transportation for the applicant’s own account (if applicable).
•  Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
