Description

Performs labouring activities associated with providing support to logistical requirements with the preparation of equipment for loading and unloading of products and chemicals with general housekeeping activities.

Responsibilities

•  Correct identification and use of PPE.
•  Participate in emergency preparedness exercises.
•  Perform routine inspections on safety equipment and ensure maintenance.
•  Conduct BAPP observations.
•  Adhere to all safety and work standards.
•  Conduct IMS inspections.
•  Clean plant areas, benches, floors, PPE, and glassware according to direct instructions and planned routines.
•  Pack materials in storage areas as directed and according to planned routines.
•  Handle, stack, store chemicals/dangerous materials safely.
•  Handle, store, transport gas cylinders safely.
•  Load and offload vehicles.
•  Ensure general neatness of the area of responsibility.
•  Perform tasks under direct supervision and as planned.
•  Assist dedicated personnel with discipline-specific tasks.
•  Perform discipline-specific activities according to instructions.
•  Deliver messages and parcels.
•  Work overtime as required.
•  Use hand tools and equipment safely.
•  Handle process chemicals and glassware safely.
•  Perform ad hoc related tasks as requested by senior personnel.

Requirements

•  Grade 12 or N3 with Maths and Science as subjects.
•  Code EC1 driver's license.
•  Forklift driver's license (added advantage).
•  Action Planning.
